How is my data stored?
Satsuma is a hosted service. Your data is stored on Satsuma's servers and tied to your account. It is never sold, shared with advertisers, or seen by an analytics platform.
- Receipts are read in-house. Satsuma reads receipts, PDFs and photos with its own software on its own servers. Nothing is sent to an external AI or document-reading service.
- Email access is read-only. Gmail and Outlook connections can read your receipts but can't send, delete or move messages.
- Credentials are encrypted. OAuth tokens (Gmail and Outlook) and IMAP passwords are encrypted before they're stored.
- You can delete it. Disconnect an inbox or delete your account at any time from your settings.
