My bank alert went to the wrong account
Bank alerts are routed by card last-four — here's how to fix misrouting.
My bank alert went to the wrong account
When a bank alert email arrives at txns@…, Satsuma routes it to an account using this priority:
- Card last-four — if the alert says "card ending in 4321" and an account has
last_four = 4321, it goes there - Institution name — if the alert is from
alerts@chase.comand you have an account with institution "Chase", it goes there - Fallback — if nothing matches, the transaction is assigned to your first active account
To fix routing going forward:
- Open the account at Settings → Accounts and make sure the Institution and Last four digits fields are filled in correctly
- Re-check the bank alert email — the card number or institution name Satsuma is looking for should appear somewhere in the subject or body
