Why is a forwarded email not showing up?
Troubleshooting when forwarded receipts or bank alerts don't appear.
Why is a forwarded email not showing up?
Check these in order:
1. Is your sender address verified? Go to Settings → Email Sources → Email Forwarding. The address you're forwarding from must appear in the Verified Senders list with a green dot. If it shows amber (pending), enter the verification code sent to that address.
2. Did you forward to the right address?
- Order confirmations and receipts →
receipts@… - Bank transaction alerts →
txns@…
Both addresses are shown on the Email Forwarding page.
3. Is the email passing authentication? Satsuma requires SPF, DKIM, or DMARC to pass. Emails that fail authentication are silently rejected. Most legitimate emails from banks and retailers pass. Emails you manually forward from your own inbox may not — add your personal email as a verified sender to trust it.
4. Did the parser recognize it as a receipt or bank alert? Check the Activity log on the Email Forwarding page. A "skipped" status means the email was received from a verified sender but didn't contain recognizable content. Bank alerts need keywords like "transaction alert", "charge alert", or "new transaction" in the subject. Try forwarding the original bank alert email rather than a copy.
5. Was it a duplicate?
If the same email was already imported (same Message-ID), it's silently skipped.
